FAQ
What should I wear?
Wear what makes you comfortable! You can “dress up” if you want, or dress casually. God is more interested in your heart than your wardrobe.
What style of music do you sing?
Our worship team leads the congregation in a variety of music that varies from traditional hymns to modern worship songs. Each one is sung with the goal of being theologically true and easy to sing for everyone in attendance.
What version of the Bible do you use?
We use the ESV for our preaching and teaching, but there are many in the congregation who use their preferred version of Scripture. Bring what you feel most comfortable using.
Do you provide childcare?
Yes, we provide childcare for ages 0-5th grade during both services.
Where do I go when I arrive?
Our greeters will meet you at the door and help you find anything you need: kids check-in, restrooms, coffee, or a seat in the auditorium.
Will I be singled out as a guest?
No. We won’t embarrass you or ask you to stand. You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable. We will have a gift for you as a “thank you” for being our guest.
What Does it Mean to be Baptist?
As a Southern Baptist church, we hold to a high view of Scripture, believing the Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative Word. We practice believer’s baptism by immersion, emphasize the centrality of the gospel, and take seriously Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations. Though our style and personality are unique to our community, our heart is the same as Southern Baptist churches everywhere: to proclaim Jesus, teach biblical truth, and faithfully live out our faith in the place God has planted us.
We are a Southern Baptist church, which means we partner with a family of like-minded congregations through the Southern Baptist Convention to advance the gospel locally and around the world. While we are completely self-governing, making our own decisions, choosing our own leaders, and shaping our own ministries, we join together with other churches to support missions, church planting, and theological education. We believe we can accomplish far more for God’s Kingdom in cooperation than we ever could on our own.
We are located at 612 Strasburg Rd, Monroe, MI 48161, just a few minutes south of downtown Monroe. To find us, head toward the intersection of South Custer Road (M-50) and Strasburg Road, then follow Strasburg Road south. Our church will be on the right-hand side as you continue down Strasburg Road.
If you’re coming from outside Monroe, we are a short drive from both I-75 and US-23, making our location easy to access from anywhere in the region. Whether you’re familiar with the area or visiting for the first time, you’ll find our campus simple to locate and welcoming when you arrive.
